Woodlands Art League Partners with Commissioner Ritch Wheeler and the Kevin Brady Community Center to Showcase Local Artists

Montgomery County, TX — The Woodlands Art League has partnered with Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner Ritch Wheeler and the Kevin Brady Community Center to bring local artwork into a public space that serves residents from across the community.

Through this partnership, artwork created by local artists affiliated with the Woodlands Art League will be displayed throughout the Kevin Brady Community Center, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to experience and appreciate the creativity and talent within the region.

“This partnership is a great way to celebrate the incredible talent we have right here in our community,” said Commissioner Ritch Wheeler. “I’m excited to open the doors of the Kevin Brady Community Center to showcase the work of local artists and create a space where art, community, and accessibility come together.”

The public is encouraged to visit the Kevin Brady Community Center and participate in the exhibit by voting for a People’s Choice Award. Signage placed throughout the community center will allow visitors to scan a QR code and vote for their favorite artwork, making the exhibit interactive and community driven.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, during the week of May 4, 2026, the Kevin Brady Community Center staff will announce the First, Second, and Third Place award winners, along with an Honorable Mention.

“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting local artists, enhancing community spaces, and encouraging public engagement with the arts,” said Beth Weaver, Director of Exhibits.

The Kevin Brady Community Center serves as a hub for programs, events, and services for Precinct 3 residents, and the addition of rotating local artwork further enriches the experience for those who utilize the facility.

Additional details regarding featured artists and future exhibits will be announced at a later date.
