About Tommy Williams

Tommy has dedicated his career to public service, from 16 years in the Texas Legislature to senior leadership roles in state government. He served as both State Representative and State Senator, chairing key committees including Finance, Transportation, and Administration.

Among his greatest achievements are creating The Woodlands Township and securing an annexation moratorium with Houston. After leaving the Legislature, he served as Vice Chancellor for Federal and State Relations for the Texas A&M System and as Senior Advisor for Fiscal Matters to Governor Greg Abbott.

Now principal of Williams Public Affairs, Tommy continues to advocate for Texas communities. A Texas A&M graduate, he and his wife, Marsha, have two children and seven grandchildren.
